About Us

Community Assistance Network (CAN), is a faith-based, multi-faceted, non-profit, human services organization located in rural Del Norte County, California.

CAN was birthed in 1995 by the Del Norte Evangelical Ministerial Association in response to the great need created when fishing and logging, the two main industries in this region, rapidly diminished.

CAN was originally a small food bank serving 165 families the first month and has since grown to include over 22 programs and services. The Lord has blessed us tremendously and we are in the business of passing those blessings on to others.
